In 2 Cor 2:1-11, Matt 6:14-15, and D&C 64:9-10 we learn that when others may cause us grief it is our responsibility to forgive them. If we do not we come under the same condemnation of those who offend us.

When we forgive those who offend us, the Lord too will be more willing to forgive us our own trespasses, and if we don’t forgive, he will be less likely to forgive us.

It is not our place to choose who we will forgive. We are commanded by the Lord to forgive ALL men because we are not able to judge those who offend us. Our Lord will take the responsibility of judging those who offend and forgive who he will.
