The New Testament is such a wonderful set of scriptures that the lord has blessed us with. As I read though the four gospels this week and discussed the principles discovered there, I have found a that I have gained an even greater faith in my Lord and Savior. He loves all of us and desire that we are able to return to him. This is a task that sometimes feel daunting, or impossible, but as we learn from Matthew 19:26 "....With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible." If we place our faith in the Lord, we will be able to accomplish anything He asks of us, but if we desire to place our faith in man, we will not be able to make it back to the presence of the Lord. I find this principle especially important today in our time because we face an age where there are so many men claiming to be supreme and desiring for us to follow them. Our nation is in a state of turmoil and distress. If only we as a nation could place our faith back on the Lord instead of men, we could see mighty miracle come forth as the lord would deliver us from our bondage and strife. But unfortunately, we see more and more that God is being removed from the picture. So we as saints must strive to do all we can to put our faith in the Lord and I know that if he desires us to be a force for good, it will happen.

The Gospel is a great tool that we have been given by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In the new Testament we learn of His birth and of His life. We learn of His parents and of his disciples and apostles. Why is it important that we are able to learn these things in our day and for our use? I feel that we have the scriptural accounts of the life of the Savior in our day because we are supposed to learn how He lived His life and do all we can to do the same. We can gain an understanding of how HE truly is the Son of God and was sent here to do His work. So many people have been able to be used as tools in the preparing the way for the coming of the Savior. I too want to be able to find myself in that group and be able to be used as a tool for preparing the way for His second coming. The Scriptures are the key to learning how to do that.
